Launchpit collects minimal data necessary to operate the platform and improve user experience. We believe in keeping things simple and transparent.

We don't sell your data. We don't build advertising profiles. We don't share your information with third parties except as strictly required to run the service.

Project submissions — When you submit a project, we may collect your name or handle, email address, project URL, project description, and any sale-related information you choose to provide. This information is used to review and potentially display your project.

Newsletter signups — If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use this solely to send you updates about new listings and platform news. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Inquiry forms — If you contact a seller through our platform, we collect your name, email address, the message you send, and which project you're inquiring about. This is stored to enable the contact flow and is not used for marketing.

Usage data — We may collect general analytics such as page views, clicks, and project interaction counts to understand how the platform is used and improve it. This data is aggregated and not linked to individual identities by us directly.

We use collected data only for legitimate operational purposes:

• Review and curate submitted projects
• Contact submitters about their listings if needed
• Facilitate contact between buyers and sellers via inquiry forms
• Send newsletters to opted-in subscribers
• Improve platform performance, content quality, and user experience
• Analyze usage trends in aggregate to understand what works
• Detect and prevent abuse, spam, or misuse of the platform

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is described here.

If your project is approved and published, information you submitted may appear publicly on Launchpit. This includes the project name, tagline, description, screenshot, tech stack, tags, and optional sale details.

Contact information you provide for sale listings (email or link) is used to route buyer inquiries and may be referenced in communication — it is not displayed directly on public pages.

Launchpit uses minimal cookies. We may use a session cookie for admin access and local storage to remember small preferences (such as whether you've liked a project). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

Third-party tools we use (such as analytics or email providers) may set their own cookies in accordance with their policies. We aim to use privacy-respecting services where possible.

Some links on the platform may include tracking parameters for affiliate programs. Clicking these links may allow third-party platforms to recognize that the visit came from Launchpit. This is used solely to attribute commissions and does not involve sharing your personal data with us or those platforms beyond standard referral tracking.

We do not collect personal financial data. We do not know if or what you purchase after clicking an affiliate link beyond standard commission reporting.

We use third-party services to operate Launchpit, including:

• Database and backend infrastructure (Convex)
• Email delivery for notifications and newsletters
• Hosting and CDN providers
• Analytics tools for aggregate usage tracking

These services may process limited data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We select providers that align with reasonable data privacy standards and only share data with them as necessary to operate the platform.

We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising, marketing, or commercial purposes unrelated to operating Launchpit.

Data is shared only when strictly necessary:

• With infrastructure providers to store and process data
• With email services to deliver messages you've requested
• With sellers when you submit an inquiry (your name, email, and message)

• Submit a project without providing a name or email (both are optional)
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter via the link in any email
• Request removal of your project listing by contacting us
• Request deletion of any personal data we hold about you

We retain submission data and email addresses as long as needed to operate the platform effectively. Project listings remain live until removed by us or by request.

Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Inquiry records are retained for a reasonable period for operational and dispute purposes.

If you'd like your data removed, contact us and we will handle it without unnecessary delay.

Launchpit is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has submitted information to our platform, please contact us immediately and we will remove it.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Significant changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of Launchpit after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
